How to change primary email?

Okay, so Im trying to change my primary email to a different email but I can't add one because its already an existing one. When I go to my microsoft account on my computer it is linked with the email I want and when I open the xbox app on my compter it goes to my account but it's not an alias or anything. I'm wondering how to make it a primary email if its already connected?
