How to change primary controller on xbox one

ok here is the issue. Have 2 xbox one controllers. Black one that came with it and a camo one i bought last week. I want to use the camo one as controller one but everything i try fails, the black one stays as primary controller. Need help, thanks

Changing Primary Account Alias

So I wanted to change my primary email to my Xbox Live account, since Xbox chose my email. I guess that Xbox changes their policies and I am stuck with my email that Xbox provided me with. I was just wondering if anyone knows how to change the primary
alias for the Xbox account.

Change that I was thinking of something else. Check the parental controls. They are in setting of the XBox 360, not sure about the XBox One. You will not be able to change them if you are not the primary account on the Family Plan.

How are you trying to change the email address? You can only change the primary email address associated with the account. You will need to add the new one first as a secondary account. Then switch it to the primary one.

There isn't an option to change the primary account as stated in the FAQ of the family account.

The account that creates the family account is the primary
