    How to change NAT settings when using wireless hotspot


    I am using the hotspot on my phone to connect to xbox live. This works ok but my NAT settings are strict. I have watched a few videos on how to use an Ethernet cable to tether the connection from my laptop to the xbox 360 with no success. Anyone do this
    that would be willing to walk me through it?Like for start to finish? TIA

    Anyone know how to open the NAT when using Connectify Hotspot? I have to run this hotspot off my laptop at my university to access Xbox Live, but I keep getting the same error.

    I believe there are apps you can download to help your NAT settings. Do you use a android for your phone?

    Even if you wired it, you won't make any difference to the NAT. The NAT on cellular networks is based on their side, not yours. An app may not help either. Your best option is to contact your service provider.

    Hey there GW BLAZE IT,

    Using a Mobile Hotspot isn't really recommended as they're very unpredictable and not easily to change settings to open the NAT unfortunately. You're going to need to speak with the provider to look into ways to open the NAT and to really see if it's possible.
