how to change my age and family account

To give you a heads up, even if there will be changes on the birthdate the system will still recognize the first birthdate that's on the account.

Let us give it a try and perform the following troubleshooting steps.

Please update your birthdate on Microsoft account by signing in here: https://account.microsoft.com

Go to Your Info > Edit Personal Info.

Change your birthdate to reflect your actual age. After that, save the changes.

And then leave the Microsoft family group. To do this, go to Microsoft Family Settings: https://account.microsoft.com/family/windows/co...

Find your account under Your Family. Click Leave Family Group, get guided that if you are of age, this option should be available.

This is because your account is underage. You will need a parent or guardian to add you into a family account and make the changes for you there.

Keep in mind that the system uses the age you entered when you created the account. While you can change your age anytime after the fact, it won't be recognized as your new age. This is prevent kids from just changing their ages to bypass things.

If you have to change your online privacy settings and can't this means you're underage and need to be in a family account. If you're already in a family account have your parents make the changes for you. You won't be able to make the changes yourself.
Keep in mind too that you can't just change your age to bypass things. Once an age is set it's permanent. You can change the age after the fact but it won't be recognized as an older account.

It's nothing to do with my privacy settings, that's just where the link took me

well regardless of what your current windows live id 's age is once set a age of an account cannot be changed

even by changing the windows live id

goto my settings

console settings

family settings

if there is family settings there then you have a child account



goto manage my account on the xbox and see if promote child account is there

if you are under a family plan you need to create a differnet account for mrated demos
