how to change e-mail?

xbox 360. we never used online but when we did I discovered my email address was wrong. instead of ending in .ca, it ends with a .com.

you cant change email address. tried with Microsoft, customer service was great, but it didn't get changed. tried getting the .com address but it is already is use.

any suggestions?

forums.xbox.com/.../153168.aspx. However if you want to keep the same WLID but change how Xbox contacts you, you can go here:
live.xbox.com/.../ContactPreferences.

If it's already in use you'll need to download the profile that it already has on it and transfer that profile to a third e-mail. Once that's done you will be able to swap this account to the desired e-mail.

account on Xbox 360 support page. This thread is over a year old. If the troubleshooting in there doesn't work for you, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into and troubleshooting you've completed. This way our community can get
you the individual support that works best on the forums.

I'm not sure how to change my e-mail in there though. I've changed it in billing info and contact info... but to sign into my XBL account I still have to sign in with my old e-mail address.

I'm a bit confused here.. How did you change the e-mail of an account that had another account already associated with it? Only 1 e-mail can be associated with 1 XBOX Live Gamertag. If a gamertag is permanently suspended I do not believe they offer any sort
of e-mail changes or anything of the sort.
