How to cancel my XBox Game Pass Subscription - for 3 Months my XBox has stopped working!!

Since the subscription was set up under an account you can’t access, the first step is to recover that Microsoft account using the account recovery form:

Once you’re able to recover the account, you can cancel the Game Pass subscription and request a refund if it falls within Microsoft’s refund policy (within 30 days of your initial purchase or before your first recurring billing date).

That is not how it worked for me because I just converted to ultimate game pass and only got 3 months for my Xbox live subscription and 4 months of the Xbox game pass and pay for a year only?

I found a work around for purchasing the 3 months of game pass for $9.99. If your game pass membership is set to expire soon, cancel your subscription and also cancel your recurring payments. I had to do all of this from Microsoft support cause it wouldn't
let me do it myself which is ridiculous. Anyways after I canceled my game pass subscription and my recurring payments it allowed me to purchase the 3 months for $9.99. Hope this helps all of the existing members of game pass that Microsoft doesn't give these
benefits to.

i payed for Xbox live for 3 months 1 month ago. i then payed for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate i cancelled the game pass and it cancelled my Xbox Live as well. it shouldn't cancelled the Xbox live as well

So... I have the 12 month recurring subscription for Xbox Live Gold (£49.99 per year). I want upgrade to Games Pass Ultimate (£10.99 per month).

My question is do I need to cancel my Xbox live gold sub, and then get ultimate pass. Or will it cancel it automatically?
