    So here is a doozie

    Many years ago (15-20) I had my first Xbox account which was linked to my Hotmail account when I was a teenager.

    This account was hacked and spent way too long trying to get access back to it but after sending information back and forth I finally had a phone call and was given access to it..hooray. However when it was given back they did not change/reset the recovery email so within 5 minutes the hacker changed the info again and I was locked out. I tried calling back but was told that they couldn't do anything because they already reinstated it once. At that time I gave up on Hotmail and just let the account go and went elsewhere.

    Let me also say that I now have a Valid Microsoft account that I use for Xbox under a different email/Gamertag ect. and I have been paying for 10+ years. No complaints with this one at all.

    Now fast forward many years to where I now actually verify the charges on my credit card i see that I am still being billed an annual subscription to gamepass on my Mastercard but the only way I am able to cancel the subscription is to log-into my Microsoft/Xbox account to do so??? I can't log into this account.

    I try to find a way to do so but after many hours I am beyond frustrated so I just pay the Credit Card charge because this time I am spending to find a way out is not worth it.

    FastForward to 2020 I try ever avenue yet again but get no where so I swear up and down to everyone I know but again I pay the charge and move on.

    Here I am in 2025 and I just do not want to pay anymore for the old one.

    Does anyone know how this can be addressed?

    A few months ago one of my accounts was hacked by a user and they hijacked my account to firstmailer.net account. I apparently don't have enough info to recover the account.

    However I am still being charged my monthly Game Pass subscription. I am unable to cancel this subscription because they refused to recover my account back to me.
    Canceling the subscription from the Xbox side would require you having access to the account to login and cancel it.

    If you are unable to recover the account then your only other option would be having your bank block any future charges.

    Here's the kicker.

    I've done that and get the refund from the bank, but Microsoft can still charge the sub fee the next month!
    Then it sounds like your bank only refunded the existing charges but didnt block future charges.
