    How to cancel a subscription from another region?


    Hi, a while back i moved from the UK to Australia and brought my xbox one s with me, since then I have upgraded to an xbox one x and kept the same accout and just updated my info.

    Currently i am trying to upgrade my xbox live gold subsciptipn to a gamepass ultimate subscription however whenever i try to do so i am met with “Change your microsoft store region. You currently have a subscription from a different
    region. If it still doesnt work, please contact customer support.”

    I have changed my region and location data already in my microsoft account and on my xbox, updated all my card details, turned off recouring billing already for my previous gold subscription yet nothing has made a difference, i just want to subcribe to gamepass
    ultimate and it wont let me. How do i contact customer support to fix this?

    Yes yoi would have call support

    Well you have two options

    First wait out till your current subscription finishes

    Or refund it (as the prepaid codes for any time left over wouldnt be usable in an new region) then buy the new subscription and upgrade

    Just a suggestion though you can stack upto 3 years first then wait a month and upgrade for the 1 dollar deal this gives you 3 years of xgu if you stack it max of 3 years

    Game Pass Ultimate not recognising my Xbox Live Gold subscription

    I am sure I recall (I am not 100% on this though) that if you buy Live Gold from a specific region, you can only upgrade it in that same region. If you then move to another region, it doesn't work (presumably to stop people buying cheaper codes from different regions etc).

    I believe you would need to cancel the original subscription and then start a new one in the new region to be able to then upgrade.

    BEFORE cancelling, wait for someone else to confirm what I said...as I noted, I am not 100% sure
