How to cancel a Gift Card ordered using Microsoft Reward points and get a refund?

I ordered a 5$ Chipotle Gift Card (https://account.microsoft.com/rewards/redeem/all) using 6500 Microsoft Reward points by mistake. How to cancel it and get a refund back to my rewards account?

I recently ordered a $5 Xbox Live Marketplace gift card using my Microsoft Reward Points. I ordered this gift card more than a week ago now and have still not received the gift card in my Outlook account. This is not the first time this has happened. About
2 months ago, I ordered a $10 Xbox Live Marketplace through my Microsoft Rewards Points and had the same experience. On the recently purchased on my rewards page, it states that the gift cards should be able to arrive in your Outlook account in 24 hours or
less and that has not happened yet. I also resubmitted the request for the gift card and it still has not sent.

 

Getting a refund on a sent gift?

• 
  Sign in to the gift card history page in your Microsoft account. If you end up on a gift card merchandise page, select Gift card history, sign in,
  then select Gift card history again.

  Locate the gift card to cancel.
  
• 
  Select Cancel > Confirm to cancel the order and get a refund.
  

 

You would need to try contacting Microsoft Rewards support.

 

Once a reward has been issued it cannot be cancelled

Typically they are non-refundable (as it mentions in the confirmation screens). You could try contacting Microsoft rewards support to see if they are able to do anything.
