  1. How to bypass "xbox identity provider" app?

I am trying to play FF13 from the PC game pass. Every time i start the game, it brings up the xbox thing and i have to press "let's play". FF13 has a game launcher. after I press start on the launcher, it starts the actual game and then the xbox thing shows up again, but this time it never loads (it brings up the hourglass cursor, so it seems to crash). Why do i need to press "let's play" twice for one game? and why do i have to do it EVERY TIME i start the game??? it should be a one and done thing.
How do I completely bypass this so i can actually play my game? OR make it so it only asks me once per a game per an install?

    :)

How to bypass "xbox identity provider" app?

Thanks, so it seems only happens with FF13

    Lets try this instead:
Press Windows + X, then click on Windows Powershell (Administrator)

Then type or copy/paste this command and press enter:

    Get-appxpackage Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider | Remove-AppxPackage

Restart your PC and install the recently deleted app:

    https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/xbox-id...

Finally go to Windows Settings > Apps and Features > Xbox app > Reset and Repair again, then restart your PC and give it a new try.

If that doesn't work please also try these tutorials:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/fix...

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

    Or try this (RainingRoses response):

"Try the following options for Windows 10/11:
    1. Go to Credential Manager (https://support.microsoft.com/windows/accessing...) > Windows Credentials (not the Web option), select XblGrts|DeviceKey and remove.

    2. Go to Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts. Select your account with the issue and verify that the ‘Apps need to ask me to use this account’ setting is enabled. This would especially help if you have multiple accounts as you would have the option to choose the correct account on startup, but you can always change it back to the automatic option if you prefer. You can also try to remove the account from here and re-add it later.

    3. Follow this file path: C:\Users\[Your Username]AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker
Delete the Accounts and Cache folders, which will be deleted from the Xbox Identity Provider

Note that the highlighted code in this file path depends on your system so may vary.
If you don’t see a particular folder, then confirm there’s no search filters applied and select ‘show hidden items’, or you can just search for the folder in the search bar.
Restart your PC after trying the above steps, so that these properly take effect next time you sign in. It may also help to then reset and repair and/or uninstall and reinstall the Xbox apps where this error occurs."

How to bypass "xbox identity provider" app?

Nope, that's really strange. Repairing and resetting the app doesn't cause this issue. I found that strange.

So, uninstalling it actually doesn't do nothing. Right?

And searching for the game inside Windows settings > apps and features > installed apps doesn't work as well?

    Let's try this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

After that open PowerShell as administrator from the search box (or press Windows key + X and select powershell (Admin))

Then type this command and hit enter:

    Get-AppxPackage -Name "Microsoft.WindowsStore" | Remove-AppxPackage

Finally restart your PC and install the Microsoft store running this command: (as administrator too)

    Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today despite this CrazyCaboose009

Xbox identity provider app can't be bypassed but I found strange because you don't need to sign in with your profile every time you open the game. Only the first time.

First, let's try isolating the issue. Is this happening only with FF13? Can you test with a different game to see how it goes?

Second, please check if your windows system and apps are up to date and do the next:

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app (and identity provider app if you can see it):

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

    Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and give it a new try

How to bypass "xbox identity provider" app?

I already uninstalled it through the xbox app, but for some reason, it still shows up in the search bar...i press uninstall but it still shows there.
how does a repair and reset cause a game to disappear but leave a ghost of it?

I tried "BulkCrapUninistall" to see if it would detect any leftover data, but it doesn't detect FF13 at all.

How to bypass "xbox identity provider" app?

    That's really odd.

If you try searching the game pressing Windows key and start typing Final Fantasy 13, are you able to see a result?

If that's the case please right click on it and click uninstall/delete.

Once you do that, try installing the game.

If no result appears, please tell me what error code are you receiving
