Hi, im new to xbox and want to buy fable 2 for my xbox one. its impossible via the console or i didnt find the way how to do it (only own xbox one) so i want to buy it via the marketplace. went to a shop and bought a prepaid card to have enough money for
the game on my account yet the marketplace doesnt allow me to use that money ( which makes zero sense because i paid for a card you sell to top up my microsoft account to be able to buy games for my xbox one). If the advice is to add a credit card than no
i wont do that, already paid money to buy that prepaid card you sell.

If Microsoft is to add Xbox One backwards compatibility to original Xbox games, one area the company is struggling to do is to add achievements in them.

A fan asked Microsoft’s Phil Spencer on Twitter that it would be cool if an original Xbox emulator were added to the Xbox One. However, Spencer said it might be difficult if they wanted to add achievements to the old games.

Spencer replied: “As you said, we’d need to try to figure out achievements I think, not easy to do that.”

The fan wants similar features to how the PS2 emulator works on PS4. The PS2 games have trophies plus they have been upscaled to 1080p and more.

Unlike the Xbox One though, PS2 disc games are not backwards compatible with the PS4. Gamers have to buy the game as if they’re new digitally via the PlayStation Store.

It took several years of planning for Microsoft to make the Xbox One backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games. Many people would like the the console to also play original Xbox games too. As Spencer mentioned, this is easier said than done.

It sounds like Microsoft is waiting until it can make original Xbox games playable on Xbox One. There are still many factors that the company has to overcome before it can become a reality.Click to expand...

I'm also not able to redeem Games with Gold, even though I clearly have as Gold subscription. The website on this domain that it says to go to does not recognize my Gold subscription, and wants me to add months to my 'scrip before I can download Operation
Flashpoint. But I'm really just posting this to see if my Gold status shows up.

Unfortunately this does not work, it is unfortunately an Xbox error department that has not yet accessed via Xbox ONE. Yes it goes through Xbox 360 but via Xbox One goes backward compatible games to buy either on disk or via payment or debit card.

It's only the xbox 360 store that is closing.

You'll still be able to access it to buy backwards compatible games via a xbox one/series console.
