What exactly was Family Sharing

How I keep thinking of this is, if I buy a game on my xbox (digitally) at my house and my brother/friend who is added as being part of my family would then be able to see all the games that I have bought and will buy minus my xbox gold covering all ten of
my family members. Much like how the home console is but on a slightly larger scale. Home console has been around a while and know know how it works. If you set your friends xbox as your home console and he does the same to your console then everything that
I buy (digitally) and my gold covers his xbox and I get all the games that he buys (digitally). So I keep thinking I add my brother and my friend to my family on Xbox then they should be able to see and play all games that I buy (digitally) but they still
have to buy their own gold subscriptions

The Crew - cannot find a way to download / buy the game for the Xbox 360

I believe this is because The Crew is not available to buy digitally on Xbox 360. It is only available as a disc-based game - you would need to buy the game from a retail store. The downloaded content can be used with the disc copy of the game.

Unlike the Xbox One, not every single Xbox 360 game is available digitally so sometimes you will run into this.

I remember buying games from Eb games / Gamestop when it first comes out and entering a code to get extra stuff for the game. Will buying digital download correct that where I just get to download it and not enter the code because it is a digital download

Hi,

When you run a game on either an Xbox One or Series X/S it first looks to see if you own the licence (digital). If you don't own a digital license the console will check for a disc. But as the Series S has no optical Blu-ray Drive it will display a message
and the game will not run.

Other installed games - regardless of how they got on the storage device - that also can be purchased from the Xbox Store won't need to downloaded again. Purchasing an already installed game will convert it to a digital license.

But you will have to buy any pre-installed games if you don't own them digitally.
