How to buy a New Power Supply

Microsoft does not sell spare power supply units for the Xbox One. They are only attained as part of a service request on your console.

First, try what insikoi mentioned by cleaning the PSU and giving it some breathing room for airflow. See if that helps with the noise.

If it continues to act the same, you can request it a repair/replacement through several ways:

I've found some on Amazon and ebay both. Take a look there

Try to clear off the vents for some debris. Then try to place it on a well ventilated place. Not under a carpet or cloth. If you want to order one, you can chat or call support, they can process the order for you.

Same problem. Read a lot of answers but finally solved it. Here's how:

- followed the XBox troubleshooting guide including buying a new power supply

- New power supply turned red when I plugged it in.

- Followed advice from another forum which included unplugging all cables; external drive, controllers, HDMI, everything.

- Both power supplies worked after that.

Is the red light on the power supply or the XBox 360 S console? If the red light is on the power supply it is a good assumption something might be wrong with the power supply. If replacing the power supply does not work I am sure you could sell the new
power supply to get your money back. It is certainly a cheaper option than buying a new 360.
