how to block a website on internet explorer

i've been looking for a solution to my problem (sporadic pop ups from alliexpress.com and promoter.com) and i can't find a way to block it. Does anyone know a workaround other than setting it to allowed websites only? I understand the reasoning for the
simplistic way they have web filtering and security, but they should have something slightly more in depth for people who would like to use it.

    :)

  2. Xbox One blocking Internet for adults

Does an adult with an adult account have the option to get somebody else to block things like internet explorer, websites etc or is it only available for children's accounts?

The reason why I ask is because PlayStation recently did an update where an adult can't choose to get someone else to block their internet browser for them, only if you have a child account.

My Xbox one internet explorer is stuck on a pop up.

Hi there! I think this page will help:
    support.xbox.com/.../how-to-close-malicious-tabs-on-internet-explorer

Also, avoid the website that you were on when this happened in the future. As a general rule, I never click on OK on any popup, especially on a computer. This is how many viruses are installed. The good news is that I haven't heard of any viruses on Xbox
    yet.

Useless: IE "blocked" setting in "Privacy" menu, not "Family"

@ngocphi - Exactly! Since there are websites that are not rated, they are "Unrated." Wouldn't you, then, conclude that since IE provides access to Unrated Content, it (Internet Explorer) should be blocked through the "Unrated Content" setting in the "Family"
    menu?

Solitaire is mooi! Ik wil er op stemmen! -[Translation - Solitaire is beautiful! I want to vote on it!]

The website is just too slow and Edge does not wait that long.

The solution was opening the website in Internet Explorer.

    Internet Explorer waits much longer.

    I voted.

Sur Xbox 360 - Internet Explorer -Problème avec certificat de sécurité persistant.

    *** English Automatic Translation

On Xbox 360 - Internet Explorer - Problem with persistent security certificate.

On my Xbox 360 console. The Internet Explorer app tells me that a "problem occurs with the security certificate of this website," but for all websites. Security therefore systematically blocks all web pages. Most likely a virus or i don't know too much.It
is stated that "security certificate issues may indicate an attempt to fool or interce data that you send to the server. I tried to delete and re-download the Internet Explorer app and tried to do things with my account nothing done about it. In addition it
seems impossible to speak live to customer service. To the ala Please.

    Salut,

    B v

    Hello

Sorry for the worries but Internet Explorer is obsolete as a browser, it's Edge who took over on the One. The problem is that websites no longer recognize Internet Explorer as secure... And Microsoft hasn't updated it for years... So you get it, there's
no point in going on the internet to explore via the Xbox 360.

    Internet Explorer wont load website

I am also having issues with the IE app loading certain pages. For me, I'm a subscriber to giantbomb.com and have used the 360 IE app to watch the premium content for a little over two months now. Suddenly on 11/14/14, it won't load the log in page required
to access this content. All other pages on the site load just fine. If I try refreshing the login page it shows it as loading res://mshtml.dll/err_connect.htm before showing the actual login url (auth.giantbomb.com/login)
    and a "can't connect" page.

    I have tried the following:

    • loading the site on my PC using various browsers including IE (all successful)

    • deleting and reinstalling the IE app (4+ times)

    • clearing my xbox cache (4+ times), with and without rebooting

    • placing the xbox in the router's DMZ to eliminate blocked ports as an issue

    • checked and unchecked the "use web pages formatted for mobile devices"

    • deleting IE app history (4+ times)

    • since this is really the only site I visit using the app, I tested a couple other sites: Instagram's login returns the same error (instagram.com/.../login), CBS sign up page (www.cbs.com/.../signup),
and so does pintrest.com unless mobile format is selected

    • I tried to outsmart the app. Since I have cookies enabled, I tried to log in to the Giant Bomb subscriber RSS feed page. The app UI did let me log in, but of course, since we can't download on an xbox it gave me that error page. Unfortunately, going back
to the main site did not set a cookie as I had hoped.

    • I made a post in the Giant Bomb forums to see if anything on their side might be causing this, but to no avail

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated

    Internet Explorer wont load website

Hey, guys! I'm very sorry to see that you are unable to load up this site in Internet Explorer. If this is the only site that isn't working for you, you will need to reach out to
F-List support on a PC to see if they maybe changed something on their site that makes it so that it will not load on our app anymore. If you are having issues with all sites on your IE app on your 360, please post
back what issue you're running into specifically and troubleshooting you've completed so that we can look into this further. :D
