    How to begin a manual recording


    I have my new external SSD installed, I decided to do a test recording today but I can't figure out where the Record command is.

    When I click on the external drive a side window pops up "When you record manually (Start Recording) this lets you capture longer clips and edit on your PC.

    So where the heck is the record command so it can be pressed?

    Christopher, thank you for responding, sorry I didn't see the response email till now. I had a rough day with the X. Once I calmed down I did find the command, (pretty much right in front of my face) but with the screenshot limited time area. I did a test recording and discovered the clip had no sound even though I could hear it when I was recording the gameplay. It took me a while to square that away too, somehow the audio manifold, (splitter) I use on my PC to send sound to the PC's speakers or to the stereo system's speakers had been set to stereo system instead of PC.

    Anyway, I'm going to look at the link you supplied and if there's more stuff than I've currently burned into my skull, I bookmark it for future use.

    Turn off auto game clip saving?

    Auto game dvr recording is annoying in Dead Rising also and quite frankly not needed. It seems like turning off game dvr prevents manual recording as well via "xbox, record that", unfortunately. Anybody else know how to prevent auto recording while maintaining
    the ability to manually record?

    I think my main problem is how to accelerate in the beginning, because I stand still several seconds in the beginning of each race since I use manual with clutch... :-(
