How to become an xbox forums moderator?

I'm sure this has been answered millions of times, but since I'm using an iPad, and can't change pages easily, I thought it would be easier to make an inquiry about this.

I'm 15 years old and have been playing xbox since I was 6 (yes, I know there wouldn't be much for me to play back then at that age). I had played hundreds (possibly thousands) of different games such as Battlefront, Need For Speed, Crazy Taxi and other
old titles, and am currently addicted to Minecraft, NFS Most Wanted, and a slew of other games.

i feel grateful that I can use my xbox to play with friends, and have been considering a job at Microsoft as a viable career option for my future, but since I'm too young for an actual career, I thought I would be better able to do good work here. whenever
I'm not playing xBox, I'm on other forums discussing gaming and such. Moderating has been a hobby of mine as well, and it's a hobby I think would greatly mesh with my gamer personality.

I'm really sorry if it's wrong of me to make a thread like this here, but this forum is great and an opportunity here would mean the world.

Hi fellow gamers i just have one question, how do i become forum moderator, because im an amabassador right now and i really want to be that. If any one have the answer please replie and please let me know how long it will take to become it.

 

I think Microsoft chooses their Mods. Not 100% sure though.

 

Yes they do.The forum mods are not microsoft employees,they are just regular gamers like everyone else.

You get asked if you would like to be a mod,you can't ask to become one.At 15 you would be to young anyway.

 

My advice would be to just enjoy the community for the time being and make a bunch of friend with these awesome people.

If you never had plans of being a rubbish processor then don't plan on being a mod, its highly unlikely to give you any other benefits than having the respect of certain members of a forum, maybe a little bit of self gratification.

 

True ^ I have to but snap my fingers and Daft and Lofty come and leaf waft me whilst Genchy feeds me grapes. Its a hard gig. lol.

No really, joking aside, it's a very nice thing to do and I am grateful to be a Moderator but its not anyone other than you (the community) that actually run this place and keep it going. Sure there are problems on the site and I don't think anyone would
deny that, but as it stands, the most important thing is you guys. I have made a ton of friends on this domain and I plan to make many more down the lines. There are so many bright clever and funny people here, its a privilege to know you all. Enjoy the place
and have a good time, that's pretty much all I can say.

That's just my own opinion.

 

Sorry what I was meaning, was being a mod on a forum isn't ever likely to lead to some form of employment, or even a foot in the door.

There are far better ways to get noticed, being a mod isn't one, and the bigger the forums the more hassle they can be.

Good mods are a god send, but so is a good community, much beater being part of the good community than being a mod IMO.

 

I hear you loud and clear buddy and you are right in what you say my friend. Titles aside, you hit the nail on the head. Its all about the community and how strong / good they are. Being a mod will lead to no where but caring for a community. Which is always
going to be the most important box to check for as long as I have an M on my card.

 

The M does look nice but id rather have the "V" either one would be good with me haha ^_^
