How to Beat Ender Dragon for "The End?" Achievement (Text Walkthrough)

Ok so I finally got tired of waiting for a friend to help me with this and tried it on my own, it is very doable solo but will probably be easier with at least one other person. I'm going to share with you how I did it on my own.

First you obviously have to find an End Portal aka Ender Portal and finish it by adding Eyes of Ender to each of the 9 blocks that form the portal. Bring beds to sleep at the portal so you don't have to keep travelling back to it (you probably will die at
least once).

After you have done that, I would recommend going in with only a bow and about 20 arrows.

Once inside you will have to make your way to the center where you will see the Ender Dragon flying around with purple beams connecting to it from the tops of the 8 or so Obsidian towers. Atop these towers are Ender Crystals which heal the Ender Dragon,
in my attempt 2 of them were closed in by iron fences. Either way, shoot the arrows at the Crystals which are a one hit one kill. I recommend doing this from the ground as it's fairly easy to hit them if you aim a block or 2 above them (Depending on how far
you are from the tower). For the ones enclosed in the fencing if you're alone, I would recommend saving them for another visit (you will have to die to leave), but if you have a friend, one of you should try to distract the dragon/take the fire and the other
build a giant cobblestone "tower" to get on top of the tower, break the fence and destroy the Crystal and repeat for any other enclosed ones but be careful as they do explode.

After you have destroyed the all of the Crystals I would recommend just jumping off the map or letting the dragon kill you.

Now you're ready to go kill the Ender Dragon. Go in with as many bows and arrows as you want (the dragon doesn't get close enough for swords). I would recommend standing near the fountain in the center of all the towers to avoid fire from the Dragon and
wait until he basically lands on top of the fountain to shoot. Stay as close to the fountain as possible during this time as he will breath purple "fire" or whatever it is. The Dragon will leave after a while, just keep repeating the process and after about
5-7 times you should kill it. The fountain in the center will then become active and you can leave which will then give you the achievement and start an ending story and you will respawn back at the last bed you slept at.

Helpful things: Placing a pumpkin on your head as a mask, while your vision will be worse, it will not aggro the Endermen in The End.

Also, atop the fountain after slaying the Dragon, there will be an egg. Hit it with your hand and it will teleport away go find it dig next to it and place one of the torches from the fountain (or if you brought one) underneath the egg. Destroy the block
the egg is resting on and it will drop onto the torch and then you will be able to pick it up and place it wherever you please.
