    How to appeal a ban?


    my goal: to be able to play my copy of Minecraft on my pc.

    So I got falsely banned on Xbox live on this account for “phishing”. The thing is I have maybe 6 friends on this account and I only used the xbox companion thing on my pc to be able to join my friends’ parties a long with having 0 suspensions and 0 strikes. So I believe someone else got into my account. On some instagram account hacking type beat. Anyway, i want to appeal my ban but i don’t know where to go. And I really don’t want to have to buy the game again.

    All you can do is have your brother sign into his Microsoft account at
    https://enforcement.xbox.com     and go to "How Do I?" at the top of the page. Click on it, then on the new page, select "Case Review".

    Also, keep this in mind - what you did may have been a joke, but there is a chance you may have cost him his Microsoft account and everything owned on it. Hope it's not a permanent suspension.

    You would have had to submit a case review through the enforcement site at the time the ban was given. If that's what you did and what you say was denied, then the enforcement team decided the ban was warranted. If that's not what yoy did, you would no longer be eligible to appeal since the ban is over 12 months old.

    The terms of service are not to be taken lightly you may be able to appeal but don't expect them to overturn the decision.

    - You can't file a Case Review if the suspension is less than 24 hours or you failed the questionnaire.

    - Note: Currently, Xbox device bans are not eligible for Case Review.
