How to adjust mic sensivety on Xbox One

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issue with your mic. Have you adjusted the mic monitoring. This can be found under the system tab where you go when you access settings. It will be under audio. Adjust the mic monitoring more
to the right, will raise the pick up of the mic. Let us know how it goes.

is it your mic that is too loud or is it other people you are in a party with?

to adjust the sensitivity of the mic, press the Xbox button on the controller then press RB 3 times to get to the System tab and select Audio from the options there.

this will allow you to turn down mic monitoring so your mic is less sensitive.

if it is other people in your party who have their mics too sensitive then they will have to adjust the mic monitoring on their Xbox

We understand that there seems to be an issue with the Mic Monitoring in the party chat.

This feature should be the adjustable option you referenced, although this does also depend on the headset having the feature on its own. In this case, if the adjustment for mic monitoring does not assist,
check to see if mic monitoring is available for the headset.

Also, after adjusting this setting, attempt to restart the console:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   Note Pressing the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.
   
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Restart console.
4. Select Yes to confirm.

Unfortunately there is no way to adjust mic sensitivity. That's programmed in the technology of the mic itself and cannot be adjusted like the volume of the headset can.

My suggestion is looking into getting a windscreen or cover for the mic as that will help with eliminating background noise but retain good quality for voice chat.
