How to add more months to Game Pass Ultimate with my account balance?

You can't. Sonce you already jave an active subscription, the system won't let you prebuy more time. You can add time with a prepaid Ultimate card from tmother retailers.

It seems that you are referring to the all-access subscription. Upon checking the FAQ's from this link, https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-all-access

It says the following "If you’re already an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member with a prepaid balance of less than 12 months, your current Ultimate time will stack with the 24 months of Ultimate that is included with Xbox All Access. If your prepaid balance is more than 12 months, please wait until your existing membership has a prepaid balance that is less than 12 months before redeeming the 24-month Ultimate membership through Xbox All Access. You will be unable to redeem with more than 12 prepaid months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate because an account can only have a maximum of 36 months at any time."

It means that you can use your main account for it.

when you upgrade to ultimate game pass and have Xbox live it will add the number of days of Xbox live to ultimate game pass making it 36 months, but I suggest after 36 months you cancel because there are conversion when adding more Xbox live to your account
and provide fewer days to ultimate game pass.

XBF Brad Thank you for the quick response. Assuming I have 36 months of Xbox Live Gold currently on my account, how many months of Game Pass Ultimate would I receive with this promotion you have described then?

When you upgrade, you would have how ever much time you added + the amount of Ultimate you add. So if you were to only add 12 months of Gold and then add a 3 month Ultimate subscription, you would have 15 months of Ultimate. You can only add up to 36 months
at a time. You cannot add more than that. So you would actually want to add less than 36 months before upgrading (ie. If the promo is for 1 month of Ultimate, add 35, if it's 3 months, add 33,etc.)

@jwarren1 You would need to either cancel the Ultimate subscription or wait for it to end before adding the 12 months.

You can add more, but if you had 12 months of Gold to a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, it will be converted to 4 months of Ultimate.
