    How to access my old Xbox account


    I need to get access to my old gamertag, though the email address associated with it has long gone.

    I've since made a new gamertag with my new details, but I can't associate my EA Account as it's still attached to my old account.

    I'm at a loss at how to sort this - I can't log in to un-associate it. I know my gamertag obviously but I can't even go through the reset process for my old account.

    Hello Robyn, unfortunately to recover your account it is not enough to know the Gamertag, you need to know your email account, skype name or phone number that you associated the account to login.

    I can't access the account page on my xbox because I am not connected to xbox live. I do not know the password to my old email account. I don't know how I am going to change my gamertag to the account I want without being able to access the account page.

    I am afraid that your gamertag isn't enough info to start the recovery process of the account. It has to be one of your account aliases you must have in order to begin the recovery process.
