    How receive Xbox 360 game from the Games with Gold on Xbox One?


    Hello,

    I'm trying to download the Xbox 360 game which is available with the "Games with Gold" of this month (Forza Horizon) on the Xbox One.

    It's backward compatible, so there shouldn't be any issues with that.

    When I'm going to the "Games with gold" screen, there's just no download button like the Xbox One Games with Gold. No success via the Xbox-site neither.

    Am I overlooking something?

    Can an Active Xbox 360 XBLG user get the Xbox One Games with Gold Games for future use?

    Like BongKaos said, you must own the Xbox One to receive offers from the Games with Gold program. But yes if you have purchased a gold membership on the Xbox 360 and transferred that same profile onto an Xbox One than you will still be a gold member ultimately
    being able to receive special offers that members without would not.

    Every month I download 2 free games on Gold to my Xbox one, but, i cannot download the 360 games from Gold into my Xbox one for backward compatibility. How do i activate my Xbox One to start playing backward compatible 360 games.

    Sorry, people; it's resolved.

    My Xbox Live Gold was via a prepaid card, so no valid CC was linked to it. After my CC details were updated, I could "buy" the free game. Download started after the payment.

    Hi there,

    Xbox One games acquired via Games with Gold do require an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, but as far as I know Xbox 360 games acquired via Games with Gold do not.

    In regards to that error code 0x803f8003 please see this support page with all the steps to try to solve the issues:

    Trying to download Xbox 360 Games with Gold on the Xbox One actually uses the web portal, mimicking that of Xbox.com. The error you are receiving stems from having a Child Account. The Xbox One and Xbox 360 have separate permissions for purchasing games,
    apps, etc. The only way around this woud be to download it on an Xbox 360 or have a parent account download it for you on the Xbox One.
