How Old Is Too Old To Play Video Games?

83% preferred?! Das like 40% more preferred than me lol. I don't think I've ever been above a 50%. I've had 50/50 before. It's probably cuz of CoD. People are such sore losers on that game XD

I'm 50/50 and I thought that negative reviews still raised your stars, unless that has changed at some point?

 

Till I rot in my gaming chair... nothing will stop me from playing games unless I become blind or something.

 

All great feedback. I knew the topic would generate plenty of responses. I agree with the majority view--I have a passion for video games that will probably always be there. Of course, there is a stigma associated with older gamers, hence the relevance
of the question. That stigma will likely decrease as the generation that grew up with Atari, Intellivision, Coleco, and Nintendo continue to age.

 

When gaming is given priority over your day to day. Then you should give it up completely no matter what age you are.

 

When i'm to old to hold a controller and drooling on it..then it might be time to hang it up.

 

Playing videogames is my favorite hobby and I don't see myself giving it up anytime soon.

 

I don't believe you can ever be too old to play video games as long as you do it as a hobby. If you eat drink sleep and wear video games and its what your every waking hour is dedicated to (unless you're a developer) and you're in your 40s its time to hang
up the controller

 

My father passed away at the age of 63. Up to the point his health prevented it he enjoyed playing PC games and that was at 61. I myself plan and inventing some way to allow my arms and legs to fully control my characters once arthritis renders my hands
useless.

You are never too old to play video games. you can't put an age on things like video games that are for entertainment purposes as you are basically saying after a certain age you are not allowed to enjoy yourself and to say that is talking nonsense..

I have a few different arthritic issues as well as being bipolar with suicidal and psychotic features. I'm only going on 40 and having issues where my hands and fingers lock up due to arthritis and braking them. I will play until they lock up for good
or I off myself. Which ever comes first.
