    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to handle this problem with your console updating all the time. Though we do shove out updates often, it usually doesn't happen that often. If you are experiencing a problem like this, I recommend a
    soft factory reset of the console. It's a factory reset that does not uninstall any of your games and is a good troubleshooting step for a variety of issues.

    When you get the chance, give that a shot by following the steps outlined in How to reset your console to factory defaults
    on Xbox One,     select the option denoted reset and keep my games & apps, and let us know if that helped.

    My Xbox One X keeps updating rather frequently and during my game time.

    It shouldn't be happening that often when not in preview. Perhaps you should perform a factory reset while keeping all your games and apps installed.

    May i ask roughly how long it takes and how often this happens?

    Also does this happen only on start up or does it affect games/ apps too?

    Not too sure what could be causing this issue. The only thing i can suggest is to hard reset the console.
