How Much Would You Pay To Use The Forums?

It's a good question since you can't post in the official "The Elder Scrolls Online" Forums unless you own the game.

So forget about going there and asking people who are playing it what it's like.

For some reason the developers don't want potential buyers burdened with this information.

Please don't get Astro A40's. Overhyped pieces of garbage. For that price you get simulated dolby surround sound...lol. I would suggest Tritton AX Pros. Or the new TB(not the ones marketed at Cowadooty audience, lol)

But the final verdict is up to you.

I recently just bought a Call of Duty Black Ops Limited Edition True 5.1 Surround Sound Headset. But it turns out that I want the Astro A40's instead. So rather than returning it and getting back the amount I paid minus the shippping cost, I figure I might
sell it on ebay.

So my question is would it be profitable enough to do it that way?

Hypothetically how much would you pay for this headset on ebay?

Just FYI the set has barely been used, maybe 30 min at most and looks and works perfectly.

 

Also does stop the "stupid idiots why would u buy a game then have 2 payy more 4 it" people.

There are two sides to this but all reviews are favourable if not 10/10. However, I don't believe in paying more after a £40-£50 price tag except my LIVE, but each to their own. Hopefully someone who owns it will come here to explain to us console peasants.

 

Their website has even bigger problems.

I bought the game on Amazon. I can't access any of the secure areas of their website without disabling my router firewall which includes the "create account" area. Can't create an account, can't enter key, can't play game. Out 60 bucks.

 

I'm assuming that Bethesda don't want to distribute viruses. Turn it off, do the business, turn it on.

 

Website isn't run by Bethesda. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to have to disable software or hardware firewalls to access reputable, safe websites.

I can access my bank, CC, E-trade etc without disabling security settings on my end so I should be able to set up a MMO account without doing so.

 

Zenimax or Zenimax Media, sorry. But is it really an issue? I mean yes, it should be fixed and it is annoying but is it $60 throwaway worthy?

 

For me it's definitely worth throwing away 60 bucks.

I don't think they are doing anything scandalous on their end but it's clear someone doesn't know how to set up a website. I'm not providing them with my personal information and payment details it's not worth the risk.

Look at the number of gaming sites that have been hacked in the last couple years that didn't have red flags for security issues, when you see an issue before you can even create an account it's time to move on.

 

That is simply in place to ward off the inevitable wave of "Subscription feez? Oh noezzz!" to which I am indifferent. If the game is worth it, I would consider it. I'm biding my time on the matter. Got Watchdogs and Sniper Elite 3 to look forward to, so
ESO is not currently on my mind.

 

Bethesda already had their main Forums site hacked a while back.

They realised it had happened and warned people to change their passwords.

I had made the mistake of keeping 2 passwords the same by accident on Bethesda and another site.

It wasn't long before an attempt to gain access to my account on the other site was made.

People say Bethesda aren't the developer and they're right.

But as the Publisher they're the ones who commissioned the games and organised the Forums even if they don't do it directly on their main site.

In regards to this particular forum; I wouldn't pay any extra at all. Yeah the 'own an Xbox product to post' thing wouldn't be a dreadful idea but it could make people feel excluded and drive people away. If any additional charges were added, I would have
no hesitation in not coming back.
