    How much space do you have used up for games?


    I have been waiting to get an XB1 for a while now. I have been waiting for a 1TB HDD with Kinect before I finally splurge, but don't see one on the horizon. I filled up my 250GB HDD on my 360 finally and am worried I will do the same with the XB1 much faster
    once I get it. I am wondering how many games you have on your setups, how much the average game takes up (physical disc or digital, pref digital since I like the feature of discless swapping games in system) and if you plan on upgrading to larger externals
    as well?

    I'm thinking though its more to do with your marketplace cache

    How much HD space do you have maybe free up some space

    so typically, how much space do Game Saves take up? are they relatively small?

    so the 500GB ( or 370GB ) internal drive would offer plenty of space for game saves if I used an external as my main storage for the games and apps?

    How much space do you have used up for games?

    I have 6 disc games installed, and around 12 or more digital games which are a mix of full size games and 'arcade' games. I currently have 140GB free space on my Xbox One.

    Yeah you will fill it up fast since every game on the Xbox One and PS4 install themselves onto the console since Blu-Ray is quite a bit slower than a DVD drive and way slower than reading off the HDD. Also games take even more space than on the 360 since
    the quality of the game assets is better which means larger files. I know if you look around a bit you can find install sizes, but things like DLC and patches really add up after that. BF4 is like twice the size with all the DLC and patches around 40 plus
    GBs.

    Good thing is external USB 3.0 drives are pretty cheap again and can actually have faster read speeds than the internal HDD. If you get a lot of games the price of a 1TB external is like one new game and 2-3TB for a couple games or collector edition. After
    this holiday season I will probably be getting myself an external drive because of the mandatory installs and large game patches that have to be downloaded make re-installing a game something I don't plan on doing. I have I think 15 games and around 85% used
    space so enough for like two maybe three triple AAA titles.

    I agree with you, you should be able to remove it if you have no use for it. But the idea they take up so much space I don't agree with. By todays standards, they don't take up much space at all. When you think about how much a game might take up. The size of Gaming services and Game Bar is nothing compared to the games.
