    How much does it cost to repair my first Gen Xbox one?


    So up until yesterday my xbox stopped reading discs. What I didn’t notice was that my son was messing around with the discs and accidentally broke one & without me realizing it I inserted that same disc to play. It made a grinding noise & i immediately took it out & couldn’t get it to work. How much would it cost to repair this problem? Or should I just use the $ to buy a new console ?

    To be honest that was the answer I was afraid to get. Eventually I would’ve gotten a new console (series X/S) if this one had completely broken down or deemed “not fixable” anymore just to save a couple of bucks. But thank you for your reply

    I would suggest you should use the money on a new console

    Microsoft no longer repairs the original Xbox One, and any repair would have been a significant percentage of the cost of a Series S. There's already great new games like Flight Simulator that only work on new machines

    About a week ago I woke up in the middle of the night to my xbox one x spitting a game out over and over. I took the game out and it kept beeping still. I went on the website to see how much it would cost to repair and they said on the site it would cost
    275 dollars to repair which is ridiculous. You can find them on sale sometimes for 300. I already had to send a first gen xbox one in for repair and I had to send 3 or 4 xbox 360s in.

    Does Microsoft just make cheap consoles? My xbox's literally just sit there. I dont hit them or even move them around that much. I barely even played the xbox one x. I mainly watched movies on it.isa
