How much data do you think you use, d/l each month?

I had no idea how many gb's I used each month until I got an email off my provider (Virgin Media).

It wasn't a 'you're using too much data' email, it was a 'hey, look whats coming to VM this month' email, with a 'did you know how data you use' section.

Apparently between July - October this year, no specific dates, I have used 1470gb of data. Is this a lot?

I only ask because I don't know! It seems a lot though. Connected to the Wi-Fi we have a laptop, 4 tablets, 3 mobile phones, my Xbox One and a couple of Kodi boxes.

I blame the kids but hey-ho!!!

@Shag...I would guess it will do as the 360 does and put them in a queue and only d/l one at a time.

I thought it would be roughly around the £400 mark so I'm not to surprised by the money and I'm sure some company's will edit the price slightly when it's released!

November: 297.08GB

October: 335.34GB

September: 220.94GB

I have unlimited data.

 

I try not to think about it as I have 200gig limit then the speed gets slowed. Most of my games are on disk and I keep digital game downloading to a minimum.

 

You used data more on the one. Because it does a lot of talking to XBL. I always in the GB each month.

 

I have unlimited data with my provider so I could care less. The only people that care about this are ones with data caps.

 

I'm unlimited so I've never even thought to check. We get it directly paid from our account. We don't even get a bill in the post.

 

I have unlimited usage, have done for as long as I can remember and I don't see how anyone could get by this day and age without unlimited internet. Nor has it ever crossed my mind how much I'd used but this month it said I'd used nearly 1500gb of data and
I was just interested to see how much others used.

I have unlimited data for my phone and I know I barely use 2gb whilst out and about. Bit of a waste really!

 

@fullhornet why do you care so much if you have unlimited data?

 

I get 150GB/month - that's it, and with no option to increase it or to have access to unlimited data. I routinely get overcharged because I use up 300-400+GB/month just watching shows and movies online or downloading new games (my $40 plan jumps to $200+
as a result - and that's on top of the services I already pay for such as XBL, Hulu, and Netflix). My ISP is purposefully limiting its own service to make a profit, fully knowing that it's offering high-speed Internet but is not allowing enough data to use
it for much of anything that high-speed is intended for. Even worse, there is no other ISP in my area to turn to, and if I leave them, not only will I no longer have Internet, but they've also already stated that they'll never allow me back in if I wanted
to return. It's outright criminal, I tell you!

Usually over 100GB. Can't believe a few years ago when I only had 40GB allowance a month I didn't go over it considering how much I download and stream online.

 

I got that Virgin letter and was really surprised him much data I was using, over 900gb one month.

@GG so even knowing that you still insist on downloading digital games?? Your your own worst enemy dude, why wouldn't you do everything you could to minimise downloads?
