How Microsoft xbox360 account login

Ok, here is the story with real names. Last Tuesday my son was using his xbox360 at school with a gamertag of buddyboycoco associated with his Microsoft account. Friday he came home and on another xbox360 he created a profile which gave him a default gamertag
of . When it asked for a login he entered the same Microsoft account login as buddyboycoco. That changed his gamertag for his account from buddyboycoco to . How do we get buddyboycoco back for this account? If we try and change
it back to buddyboycoco it says "buddyboycoco is taken. Please try another."

Where is "Remove all security info" located? Is this on Microsoft.com? Xboxlive?

You forgot to mention that a worldwide hacker organization compromised an unknown number of Xbox Live logins, and put them on the web.

You also forgot to mention that Xbox Live Support has been duped by thieves into resetting login info on legitimate users accounts then allowing the thieves to have access to the accounts.

Sure more than 50% is user fail when it comes to security, but Microsoft you are to blame as well for this problem.

Hi there welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had the exact issue! For those of you having this same problem, there is an important step that Microsoft and Mojang leave off all of the FAQs when they just inanely repeat to sign in with your Microsoft account. From the Launcher log-in page, you have hit the button to go back to the accounts page. But then, don't click on your existing account that you want to sign into or you will just get back into the same problem loop that won't let you sign in. You have to add a new account. It is counter intuitive, because you are not actually setting up a new account. But once you click to add a new account you can choose to sign in with your Microsoft account in the Launcher. Once you do that, it will automatically use the Microsoft account to log you in from the Launcher. And my worlds were there without change.
