    How many Xbox live subscriptions do I need for 3 consoles?


    We have 3 Xbox One consoles in my household. We currently have 2 Xbox live accounts. How many active subscriptions do I need to get everyone (3 people on all 3 consoles) online and able to play multiplayer at the same time? And, how do you set it up if I
    can get away with just 2 active Xbox live accounts?

    I saw a similar post from 2 years ago but there were conflicting answers.

    Depending on how you're using the consoles, you could need at least 2 subscriptions. You can share gold via the Home setting. So one of th accounts with gold would have to set a console as their Home console so the account without gold can use that one. My Home Xbox Setting on Xbox One | Share Your Xbox One

    Actually, both Daft Badger and M3tal Daz3 have a point. What M3tal is trying to say is that what if player C wants to play on console A. Since player C does not have gold and the home xbox feature is only shared on his console, then he won't be able to play
    online on console A since no gold has been shared there.

    What Daft is trying to explain is that if Player A don't intend to allow Player B and C to play on his own console. That's where you will only need to gold accounts. I hope that's more clear to understand.

    How can the OP use only 2 gold subscriptions for 3 xbox consoles?!
