How many Rockband fans are on still around??

I'm sure many of you have recieved the email and survey and heard a few specualtions about the possibility of a new Rockband game in the future. I'm wondering how many of you still play any of the music genre games and would invest in a new Rockband 4 or
Guitar Hero Legacy or whatever if it were released on Xbox One. I do break out the guitars from time to time and I think if they could make the old instruments work with the new hardware so you're not spending a ton of money to get into the game again, it
could do very well after a much needed hiatus. We used to hold RB parties and was a great way to unwind on the weekends after a stressful work week. Would you guys buy another RB game as long as it wasn't a half attempt like the new DC game has been??

Rockband / Rockstar - purchased content and general Xbox One Malaise

there is NO excuse for no backwards compatibility, all is needed is a good emulator. look at how many arcade games M.A.M.E. supports. and these arcade games run on many diffrent motherboards. there are even emulator apps on Android.

and as far as controllers go ( i have the drum rocker for rockband) all they need are the drivers for Xbox One.

 

Importing songs into other games

I've seen other threads about this already but I thought I'd just start another one anyways....



I had Rockband 1 back on the PS2 a very long time ago. I just bought my first Rockband game for the 360 which was Rockband 1. When ever I go to buy Rockband 2 how can I transfer all the RB1 songs onto RB2. I've head there is a code in the game manual to
do so. But what if I buy RB2 used? Will the code still work?

 

My girlfriend (now wife) gifted me guitar hero a long time ago, my initial thoughts were WTF is this crap.. yet I fell totally and utterly in love with it after about 20 minutes, I still miss it to this day..

 

I'm a fan (bought every song on offer for months). Sadly, it got to a point where I couldn't play them fast enough before more released so I gave up and sold most of the instruments. If I ever get back into it, I'm going to be far more selective.

 

I still play them now love the games with a bottle of vodka or some juger bombs

 

The best feature was the list of available songs they pushed out every week which is also why is a very expensive game. I usually waited for sales on song packs but still played this game during so many weekend get togethers through the 2000s...and I do
believe drinking of alcohol makes you sing better...or at least your ears become more immune to a person singing out of tune horribly, LOL

 

I don't mind me some Rock Band at all and break them out every now and then but i was always more of a FreQuency or Amplitude guy..which recently they got an Amplitude kickstarter but apparently Harmonix has no plans of bringing it to Xbox:/

 

I have Rock Band 2 I think, but I rarely played it, and I got it used at a thrift store and only had the guitar controller from Guitar Hero to use. I need to get the whole set one of these days to play with friends one of these days.

 

I very much enjoy the genre still. I just don't play it often because I need a new drum set.

 

I love the Rockband series. We got together at least once a week to Play as a Group. I have the Ion Drums which still last until today and I still Play every now and then. Would Love Rockband on xbox One. Would be an instant buy!

 

Sometimes when I'm laying in my bed late at night, I think of my old band. I wonder how they are all doing. I heard rumors that our lead guitarist made it big in another band. Hopefully our drummer conquered her battle
with addiction. She ALWAYS had a chocolate chip cookie at every concert. I remember our bass player had a few "scandals" with our band's groupies, but those were crazy times. My days in (name of band removed because well... it might have been a lil controversial)
will always be remembered... or maybe it was just a dream.

 

@Goth I like to go to sleep pretending I'm living like an 80's rockband sometimes but then I wake up and realize my body couldn't handle that much alcohol and blow these days....

I liked playing drums on those games, being an actual drummer it was cool playing along to other songs and genres

 

Was just cleaning the garage and threw 2 guitars and a drum set away.
