How many places have you discovered? SPOILERS?

Personally really liked the Wizard's Tower -- great view and good for alchey/mage builds. Used the basement as my main storage units.

Also liked the Thieves Den -- pirate ship with a castle built over top!? Heck yeah! You could get/ask/command pirate gang to "go and plunder" and you would get $$ in the capt'n chest in a few days.

Mehrunes' Razor has the biggest (I think) cavern to explore in the whole game. My sneaky archer enjoyed his stay there.

Everything else I'd rate lower in terms of desirability. Shivering Isles was cool to see, but you really have to like Morrowwind / Sheogorath to appreciate it (I don't). That DLC has excellent production values though.

I could buy the game and all DLC for less than a 20 dollar bill. Thanks for the suggestions folks. I looked on Amazon just for SAG, they have the GOTY version for 15, has the main game, Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine only. Pretty sure the marketplace
is the better deal.

 

Sarge, i had no complaint about the amount of storage in the Mage's Tower but I wanted a chest, instead of book cases which didn't work for anything behind the enchanting/spellmaking/atronach tables so i could keep gems and such put away. I ened up keeping
all that stuff on the table. there was no enclosed storage at all on the main floor so I tended to drop things. I had keys in a bowl on a table and gems in a bowl on a different table. I used the circles in the bobby to display armor and weapons. It would
have been nice to have things a little neater. What is it about mage's and snow? Why snow?

 

Loading screens to get to the basement storage were a little much. Part of the reason I haven't bothered with the cellar in Lakeview (might try it on Windstad). I was hoping that Beth would let us consoler's have more control over container placement
and type.

I like having the extensions on Lakeview, but I haven't got a system down for the gazillions of containers that are holding my gazillions of loot items -- and then add on the smithing storage requirements -- I like to try to keep those separate. I may just
build the grindstone and arm bench inside the house and see if that helps in keeping loot organized.

Was there ever a discussion on storage, as in how people have organized the many many containers for workflow?

 

Ah Finally! I've been lax. I have 407 locations discovered. Does anyone know how many there really are?

As far as storage goes, I just go around in a circle and keep food, material etc. in different chests or barrels. Except in the basement where I keep all materials separate in the safes and clothes and potions in the barrel next to the furnace. New items
when done and marked for sale go in the barrel under the trap door to the house.

 

One thing missing from Hearthfire, Garage sales. A special container for items no longer needed or crafted to sell. If that is too easy to pile up coin, then it could be that you can only do it in one of your homes, once every two months. I just want to
purge the clutter.

Let the steward handle actual sale, while you go about your normal Skyrim business. Like any garage sale you never sell everything. Some times that old bucket with no bottom isn't going to sell, you're just going to have to find space for it buddy, no one
wants that crap.
