How many people use their XB1 for more than gaming.

Obsessine, IMPO, I find that apps on the Xbox One tend to be overall better than the apps on my Samsung Smart TV, so I'm of the opposite mindset then you.

Then again, I use my XB1 for most of my online social interaction, so I like to be able to keep in touch with others even while I'm doing something other than playing games like surfing the web or watching a movie. For me, I'd say that I'm pretty evenly
split - I'll spend a few hours a day each using the XB1 for games, Internet, and other media.

 

started to watch all my blu rays on it now rather than my dedictaed blu ray player

 

Mainly gaming with the addition of netflix

 

Blu-rays and movie rentals (although I've started doing that more on PS4 due to no tax).

 

Games, internet browsing, apps like wwe network, bluray/dvd. Well it gets used for everthing, i have a hdmi splitter plugged in with sky and other consoles

 

@BSD..... how did the almighty Sony Corp rewrite tax laws for there purchases???

 

BSD you must live in a state where SONY not present in the state. I was tax free on XBOX LIVE until a MICROSOFT store came to my state.

 

Other than gaming, I only use it to watch Blu-ray/DVD movies, Netflix, Youtube, Skype, sometimes Vevo, and view pictures on it from my USB/PC/Samsung slim 1TB external HDD. I DONT use IE on it unless the dashboard forces you to use it, like when you click
on an ad on the dashboard or view your Skype account when it automatically brings up IE depending on what you're doing. I prefer using IE on my PC. Other than that I don't use my consoles for anything else. Put simply, all I do on my Xbox consoles is hang
out with friends (and randoms), game, and watch videos.

 

I use mine to play games, to watch movies and to listen to music.
