how many people are on x1 and x360 these days

The reason that I primarily game on the Xbox 360 is because...

(1) You can play your music anytime that you want to on the Xbox 360 while the Xbox One requires you to keep the music player app snapped with whatever you're doing.

(2) You have a "Master Off" switch for the controller vibrations in the preferences setting, the Xbox One does not.

(3) The largest installation size of an Xbox 360 game is 8 GBs and I have 160 GBs of free space here. I still don't have an External HDD for my Xbox One and only 375 GBs is usable from the advertised 500 GBs. I am keeping an eye one a 5 TB External HDD
and I will pick it up when it drops down to $100 (It is $200 now). As of this posting, my Xbox One HDD only has 231 GBs of free space.

(4) I bought an Xbox One to play games that I can't play on the Xbox 360. I would have picked-up Destiny for the Xbox 360, but since this game is dependent on servers, I opted for the Xbox One version.

I resurrected my 360 when my X1 died.... that was the most difficult 3 days of my life! The 360 just can't hold up to the X1, in any fashion. Controller function, usability ( Who ever feels the 360 is a superior dashboard vs the X1.... wow... IMO)....

That being said my 360 sits within 7 ft of me, a 360 controller within reach, and neither get any attention from me.

 

360 dash and guide are superior imo..... But I'm not going to get into that argument again lol.

 

I got an xbox one already but ready to get an Xbox 360 again to play the Mass Effect Series and a few other games that probably won't be remastered for the Xbox One. But, before I spend on another console, i'm trying to get Windows working on my iMac (Bootcamp)
and having nothing but problems with the windows 8 updates....

 

It kinda variesI think it depends on the game. Some multiplayer games are populated with heaps of players but others not so much. With the Xbox one a few games only have a regional population and not a worldwide population.

I am still waiting for a TRUE " listen to your own music anytime that you want to " experience (the whole " keeping the music player App snapped on while you do whatever " is really lame because it is taking up precious screen space. Why can't it be like
the way that the Xbox 360 handles it) and a master off switch for all controller vibrations in the console's preferences settings on the Xbox One.

LOL Xbox 1 is kind of too Windows 8 gibberish for me. Snap this, loading...., squares. What's next, triangles? Your avatar is locked up in some Avatar app shoebox. I find the Xbox Guide Menu beautiful to quickly get to things while playing games. With Xbox
1, you have to shrink the game and go to the app. It's particularly a pain if you don't use voice commands. And don't even get me started on vibrations. I don't really like how you can't go Full Screen with the messages app, whatever I do when I open it,
it always opens in a narrow right hand pane. And snapping Parties... arg. I prefer the way Xbox 360 does it. There are things I like about Xbox 1 though. It's a much better device than how it Launched like in 2013 with tonnes of missing features. Kinect is
fun, and it has better hardware.

I KNOW i'm easy to please in gaming. I pay no attention to the stuff that drives people mad like frame rate, graphics quality, how black the black is, etc. I could very easily go back to playing on the 360. A couple weeks ago someone challenged me to
play Witcher 2 and the first thing I thought when I started playing it was how amazing the graphics were in the opening cutscenes.

 

I have both.

Currently, I'm tending to my backlog and I use the platform for which I bought the game for that has my attention. The biggest number of games are on the 360. Am I playing it now? No, as I took a break from Resident Evil 6 to play Kingdom Hearts 2 on PS3.

 

@ Bizarro yep it does look great on the 360, you picking up Wild Hunt? It's pure awesomeness!

I would say it is a fairly good reflection. Especially considering they sold and count as a sale. A lot of different consoles have been replaced by people and one console besides the 360 sold a ton as replacements. Reason I say that is that console had
some known issues, disc read errors being one early, and it was replaced a lot. Even the Wii was replaced I am sure. But to Nintendo's credit they make some pretty good hardware in terms reliability and durability.

I have to say that one of the best things so far with the One is that it seems that the community online has been pretty good. Not running into very many of those terrible lobbies yet. I am sure as more people move over that will change though. So there
might be a benefit to less users currently.

 

Genchy - Yes, I will get Wild Hunt, but because I just bought Evolve and Farcry 4, I think I will play those first and at my slow rate of game playing, I may not get it until around Christmas. But I'm looking forward to it. Some of the battle scenes look
insane.
