Well 2016 is still a long way off. This will probably be my last year with MS because of making the switch to the PS4. I still love my 360 though and I'll continue using it for Media Center, which is the best thing about it at the current moment.

  2. I'll stick with my 360 until the very end. I will eventually get an Xbox one soon, especially since I have a job lined up. But I will continue gaming on the 360 until the very end.

I feel the same as you. I don't have the money for an Xbox1 and like my 360. If they shut it down they lost me as a customer for anything. This is just their way of forcing you to buy a new system.

I own a lot of systems and hoards of games for each one. I personally don't see a future in this latest generation of consoles and thus will skip it altogether.

Perhaps the next "next gen" consoles will tickle my fancy but this generation just don't cut it for me.

  5. I think this current generation of consoles has a pretty good future. The quality of games are there and software improvements are always coming.

However I do think this is the last generation where there is going to be a divide between consoles and PCs.

I'm sticking with the 360. I have games unfinished and some I want to play again. Don't play on line probably never will so I just be a solitary 360 gamer for now. Have neither the interest or the money for the Xone.

I was very hesitant at first as well but, eventually decided to buy a One a few months after launch. It was a rocky start with some ups and downs. However, things have come along way in the last year and I honestly have not turned on my 360 for about 6-7
    months.

When comparing GTA V on the One to the 360 the benefits of upgrading are evident and nothing beats being able to say "Xbox record that" to record game clips on the fly. The ability to easily record and edit clips through one app was enough to sell me on
it. I've enjoyed creatively editing clips with the upload app quite a bit.

I also have a high end PC and I simply prefer the convenience of console gaming on the Xbox One.

That being said, it is a matter of personal preference. One thing to consider though is that you may be able to get some additional cash by selling/trading in the 360 now as opposed to waiting until later on down the road.

There's fun to be had with either console. If you're having fun with what you have stick with it!

  9. You'll forgive me for asking but what convenience is there over your PC?

Both platforms have automatic updates, for both the system and the games. Both platforms require that you install the games, though surely the lack of need for the disc after installing is a mark in the convenience box for the PC. Most PC games these days
offer you the choice of keyboard and mouse or a controller.

I genuinely do not see where the Xbox One is more convenient than a PC.

Hopefully Xbox 360 titles will continue to be released with the Games for Gold program. Tomb Raider is now free for Gold members, and the sequel was announced for Xbox 360 too, with a November 2015 release date, which is great. I really loved Tomb Raider,
hope the sequel will be just as thrilling. I hope they don't cancel it for Xbox 360, much like what happened to Dying Light (though to be fair, they said it was because the console couldn't handle it too well).

I would feel bad for the PC if I would only use it for gaming.

I honestly would use a PC for more then that, in the end I wont play video games lol

The only thing the X1 does not have yet is a lefty controller...... *sad face*

  12. Don't forget that the One is also capable of more than gaming, you can do office work through the Internet Explorer app and the online version of Microsoft Office at OneDrive.com/

The IE app can also be used to listen to music purchases from Amazon.

Your One is capable of so much more than playing games.

Aaahhh, who cares what the one is capable of. I'll stick with the 360 for games, still plenty of games left I haven't played. And do whatever else on the computer. Anyways how did this thread turn into a discussion about computers?

  14. You are also capable of using the online version of Office through the IE app on the 360.

How did the thread turn into one about computers? Simple evolution of the discussion because it is very easy to discuss the idea that consoles are a hop, skip, and a jump away from being a PC.

That's part of why it is an easy choice to stick with the 360 over the One. The older console doesn't really lag behind its younger brother in many ways at all.

  15. I'm still with my 360 as well. Enough good/fun Free games with Gold to play and the deals are awesome. Cheap great & fun games to still buy and play. Not lookin into the xbox one until 2017. "Better" graphics, a more customizable dashboard and a bunch of
features I wouldn't even use on my 360 if they were available, aren't enough for me to get a new system yet. The games aren't interesting me yet either.

While more of my friends have gotten a new console, they seem to spend more time on their 360 than their One/PS4.

However, if the xbox team found a way to import and emulate everything from our 360 libraries, I'd make the switch sooner than later. But for now, love my 360 How many of you are sticking with the xbox 360 till the severs shut down? :)
