How many hours will the Campaign and Multiplayer be?

I am just wondering how many hours the Campaign and Multiplayer will be?

Game is short

I'm not sure how many hours into it I am. If I had to guess, maybe around 12 or 15. I still haven't completed the campaign yet. It's fun scouring the previous areas for the loot. Multiplayer is also pretty fun, actually.

 

Those Special Moments

Gears of War the entire campaign. All three honestly, but the first one is where it all started.

Halo 3, so many epic campaign moments. Fighting the Scarab was awesome.

Waaay too many memories in the multiplayer and custom games to even count.

Left 4 Dead 2 as well, I spent countless hours playing that with friends.

 

campaign will you average length nothing to long, there will be a few end game co-op raids to do and the MP lasts as long as you want it to

 

The thing is with Destiny is I think the beta is about a fifth of the main game but then when you've finished that and hit level 20, that's just the beginning, you keep ranking up using an entirely separate XP system called "Light" or something. It's all
about tuning your abilities and finding better gear. There's gonna be lots of raids and strikes that you will do again and again so it's definitely a long term thing. if you're gonna play for the story I'd estimate (based on the beta's length) about 15-20
hours but the fact is that you're gonna be playing the PVE modes a hell of a lot longer than that. Competitive will also help buff out the time

According to Bungie, Destiny is a "10 year" game. I have no idea what that means, but i'm guessing there will be alot to do for a long time after one has finished the story. Raids, crucible..it's gone be great!

 

Damn it might take forever to beat

 

In the beginning the game starts as a rpg would start. You get to the tower and talk with your class spokesperson. After that well that is up to you. If you have ever played a RPG or normal MMO then you will understand allot of the elements

Not sure if some know this or not, but during beta you couldn't gain access to pvp multi player till level 5 and raids don't start til after level 20+.

For the most part you will be playing the story(depending on what you want to do). Which you can play alone or with 2 other people.(fireteam) Now you will see others running around, but don't worry nothing they do will really mess you up(unless you allow
them to)

In beta as long as you did damage to a mob loot dropped and no one can steal your loot. Basically after the start it's pretty much up to you what you want to do.
