How Many account profiles can you add to a single Xbox one?

Thanks to gold sharing & all that, you can just share your gold subscription with family & friends, but after I added number 7 I keep getting

Error 80A40008. Already checked the site and the only relevant issue is the last one. So is 7 the definitive number of accounts you can have on an xbox one?

Creating profiles...,

I have added my other half but that was porting it across from her Offline profile on my Gold Xbox live account

I know what you mean though, when I was trying to add her my username was ghosted and it became a 1 at the end. No idea how you actually add a user and then add the name sorry

Try to remove and add back your profile on your console, then see how it goes from there.

Well, it's more than seven, this I can confirm. but if you're receiving an error, I sugest to remove all your accounts, clear cache console, power cycle and re-add accounts to your console again. It may be related to an disc space issue in your console,
if you have low storage space, the system gives you an error

I did all of that yesterday with support. I ended up doing a dreaded factory reset & it seems it fixed the problem. Was able to add the remaining accounts. But No one really seems to know what the actual limit is. Also it seems the factory reset fixed my
notifications as well, they now stack up like they should have. -shrugs- Guess it was a win win. But thanks.
