How long until pre order refunded

When you preorder a game, the amount that you'll be seeing on your payment method would be an authorization charge that ensures that you have enough funds to settle it and it will clear off after a few business days depending on your bank's policy.

You will only then be charged the full amount, 10 days before the game launches.

I pre-ordered a game in August but decided to cancel the pre-order and get a refund. I pre-ordered the game with a Visa gift card, and when I went to check my balance on the card, I saw that I didn't receive my refund yet; how long does it usually take for refunds to be processed?

How long is it until the game actually releases because xbox doesnt actually charge you for preorders until about 10 days before the release date.

Perhaps the pre order hasn't refunded yet and that's why it seems like i have been charged? How long does it take for a game to refund?

pre-order is not charged until around 10 days before the game's release date. If your pre-order is cancelled during the 10 days before the game is released, it generally takes up to 72 hours to receive the funds back in to your bank account. If you purchased
a pre-order with currency on your account instead of a credit card, the currency is charged immediately after the pre-order is made and refunded immediately when it is cancelled. Any refunds that are made through PayPal could take up to thirty days. We hope
