How long until I can play campaign mode on Gears of War 4?

I own the physical copy of this game and have fully installed the game itself, however it's asking me to download a 71.25GB update.

I have extremely slow internet (DSL) in my area and can't get cable broadband and it downloads about 1GB an hour.

I'm at 21% download for the update and 19% figure shows up next to campaign when I'm on the mode select screen. How much longer until I can play campaign? Is it the full 100%?

Newbie here - XBOX Live Question

Hi

Me and my friend like to play "Campaigns". In the past most games you were able to play Co-Op in Campaign mode......today with most games not so much. For example we are currently playing Gears of War in Co-Op Campaign mode but can not in Call of Duty

If we were to play "On Line" would we be able to do this?

Sounds like everyone is really enjoying this one. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll at least be able to rent it so I can see how it stacks up to Gears of War and Gears of War 2 for myself. I really like the addition of dedicated servers. This is something
that should have been in since the first one. Heck, even Unreal Championship for the original Xbox had dedicated servers.

I won't be able to play it online since I only have a silver membership, but I'll at least get to see the campaign which is 90% of the reason I play Gears of War. I never did really dig the multiplayer (except for Horde mode in Gears of War 2 - that was
a whole lot of fun to play with some buddies). Gears of War 3 might change my opinion on the multiplayer, though.

I'm hoping the campaign is a bit longer than it was in Gears of War and Gears of War 2. I think the original Gears of War I beat in like 5 or 6 hours or so. I'm not expecting a 40 hour adventure, but I'm hoping for at least 12-15 to be on par with other
campaign based games out there.

 

You'll get a notification when the game is ready to play. The limits are different though so there's no way to say when this will be. What I can suggest though is to set your console to instant on and turn on background downloads so that the game will
continue to install while the console is off.

Another option would be to take your console (or external hard drive) to a friends house and see if they can let you install the update while there.
