How long is the free Xbox Game pass account?

I just a got a new lenovo gaming computer and it claims it comes with a free trial for game pass. However, there is no information anywhere as to how long it lasts. It seems microsoft is truly hiding that information and I can't find it. I don't want to activate the service before I know how long the trial is for. Does anyone have any information on this?

Same situation with a Lenovo. Despite it saying I have a free pass, the process wants me to pay £1 for 14 days and then it is £7.99 pm for the basic and £12.99 for the Ultimate.

I tried that and got the same thing, no information on it. I was finally able to find something that said I need to redeem the offer in order to see when it expires. A bit scammy from MS to be honest. They want to hook you in and then make it hard to cancel.
