    How long does Xbox 360 system update take to run?


    I have downloaded the latest system update for Xbox 360, copied the files to a USB drive, and started the update.

    It's been running for quite some time, so I'm wondering just how long it might take.

    Anyone know?

    Are the graphics any better on the Xbox One version over Xbox 360?

    How long does Xbox 360 system update take to run?

    Depending on the size of the update it can take some time. I've had updates that have run for almost an hour in the past.

    Usually, never more than a few minutes to actually run. Downloading and then installing usually take a little while longer.

    Thank you but it didnt work and i tried holding the buttons as instructed and nothing there happened either. To be honest i regret buying this machine. I bought it just over a year ago and was fine and then it needed to do an update which didnt work
    which is why i packed it away. I was advised to update by usb at the time, but do not have a windows pc as i am apple mac.

    Hi try power cycling the console. Maybe turn it off and unplug it for 10 seconds before trying again
