How long does take to receive game pass gift from friend

My friend gifted me a fortnite starter pack from xbox Microsoft store and I got no email or even xbox chat message I need help I wanna claim it urgently before the next update

It may take 24-48 hours to receive an Xbox Live message or email. Though, you may also ask your friend and ask him for the code that you can redeem.

Just ask him/her to sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/

Could you ask your friend to check their spam folder on the email address you entered to send the gift?

However, in case they didn't receive the email and more than 48 hours passed after you sent the gift. Please check if you can share the redeemable code with them by going to your Microsoft account order history:

https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Once there, locate the gift, and click on “view code”.

Note: The “view code” option appears if the code is still active.
