How long does it take for my profile picture to be verified?

ive had it take up to an hour or so once. other than that other times was pretty fast 5min

If it doesn't do it instantly it can take up to 24hrs. Try to delete and read the profile to your console to see if the change would catch up then. If not try and read the new image as the new picture and then restart your console.

I've never had it take very long. I'm not sure how long I would give it though. As long as you haven't had one forcefully removed in the past, though, you won't lose the ability to have a custom pic.

i've never had one removed forcefully and my last pic was changed instantly as well- so im not sure why its different this time .

It usually takes less than one day

I would agree with a hard reset to try and force it through
