    How Long Does It Take for GTA V To Install?


    I know it depends on your internet, but I'm just looking for like an estimated/average time. Plus, what is all the extra gbs for? I had 141 or 142 gb before purchasing GTA V, and now I have 79 gbs left. I don't know if it's automatically installing the DLC
    content or what, but it's only supposed to be around 50 gbs. Thanks for the help/info and have a good day/night!

    Some folks have said as quick as 30 minutes while others have reported 8-14 hours. Not really a solid answer on this one. I would definitely recommend leaving the Xbox running versus background installation though as background downloads/installations are
    much slower.

    Connecting to Xbox Live takes a long time.

    Ok. Reformatted the hard drive, and it's still quick to log in. I originally only had GTA V installed on the 120 GB hard drive, so instead of installing that, I installed both discs of Mass Effect 2 (which takes up more space than GTA V), and I had no
    issues with logging in. I'm now reinstalling GTA V to see if the issue comes back. If GTA V is the culprit, I'll switch to their help forums.

    As long as the game is GTA V, it does not matter which version of the game you purchase, just as long as it is for the console you are playing on.
