Is the " saved file data " from an Installed to HDD game compatible with a Digital Download version game?

It depends on the deal the developer and Microsoft have with each other. I think less then a week was Saints row IV so it could be anywhere from a week to a few months. Lost planet three I think it took a week or maybe two after release.

 

It's down to the games publisher/developer & if or when Microsoft approach them about making a game GWG.There is no set time period.

 

Yeah, there have been games that have been "Games with Gold" on their release date, and there have been others around for years. There's no specific timetable.

 

Exactly what's been said above so can't add to that but I will just say for me this is a fantastic incentive alone to subscribe.

Ive got to experience games that I usually wouldn't of chose at no extra cost and had some great fun. Great service

 

It's hard to believe there's a game you haven't already won in a competition or got your wife to win for you.

But you do have a vivid imagination. No one can take that from you.

What game are you waiting to become a "Game With Gold" Leifang?

 

Looking on the Xbox Store there's tons of games I haven't played. If you get to download them at no extra cost I'd try any, why not, I've been pleasantly surprised by games that I didn't think I'd enjoy at first.

 

I'm going to work the logic backwards and say it's more often based on when the next version of same game is released. Maybe 3-6 months prior to give people a taste for the game so that they buy the new version.
