How long do system bans last for

Xbox one communication ban

i got an email for an Xbox live communication ban for violating a rule when sending a message. It says I'm banned from using the communications portion of Xbox live but it doesn't say for how long. First ever violation in 10 plus years of having the same
account. So how do I find out how long the ban is. The enforcement page also doesn't give any info on how long the ban lasts. GT

Account bans (of any kind) would be detailed on the Enforcement website here: http://enforcement.xbox.com

Console bans are supposed to be permanent (source).

Try hard resetting the console by holding the power button in for 10 seconds. Then, reboot the console.

Also, if that does not work, try removing the account from the console then adding it back again.

There appears to be an issue that has been happening lately. It appears that if an enforcement action was extended then there may be no additional notification and the enforcement site does not reflect this extension. The only way to currently find out if
an enforcement action was extended is to contact Xbox support. Customer Support

Calling out gamertags is not allowed on the forums.

You sent someone an abusive message so you did do something wrong.Doesn't matter who starts it,if you respond in a way that violates the ToU/CoC then you risk enforcement action.

Just report & block anyone sending abusive messages & they will be investigated.

You have no way of knowing if these people get suspended or not if you have reported them.

Sometimes you might get a thank you message but this doesn't happen often,usually you are never told the results of any report you file.

An email was sent to the address linked to your account telling how long you are suspended for or you can check on the enforcement site
here where you can also file for a case review if eligible.

The enforcement team don't use the forums so no one here can do anything.
