    How is this game ?

I'm currently playing through the series ( on Mass Effect 2 right now ) for the first time now, and I'm wondering what to expect when I get to Andromeda. Is it as fun and interesting was the first 3?

    :)

Wow, this forum seems dead. Anyway, I'll give you my input on the whole series.

First, if you're just playing through the OG series, you may [or may not] be aware of the huge controversy over the original story line's ending. Literally made gaming history. Some said they understood it, many despised it, but the backlash was such that
Bioware actually added a separate DLC ending sequence to Mass Effect 3. It didn't change the ending(s) for the most part, but it helped clarify some **** type questions and added a few things that at least showed somewhat of an effort to appease those who
    hated it.

In any case, I think (and this coming from someone who hated the OG ending) that the series is still well worth a play through. Trying not to spoil much, my advice is to view the entirety of Mass Effect 3 as the ending to the story, rather than the final
ending sequence of events. That may not make much sense now, but I think it may later.

As for Andromeda, I'm only a few hours into it as of now, but it seems to be in line with the Mass Effect... status quo? I guess? It starts off fairly simple and things don't tend to get really interesting until you've gotten a few of your first major plot
quests under your belt. Then things start to open up. I'm just now seeing some interesting twists of events and I can say that if the rest of the story keeps moving along and developing as well, I doubt I'll be disappointed. Thus far, the "fun and interesting"
potential that you're asking about is definitely there, at least for me.

Just as an FYI thing, you don't really need to play the first Mass Effect series to play Andromeda. It literally drops you into an entirely new story line... but... they have done a pretty cool (IMO) job in a "tip of the hat" way with dropping a
few names and mentioning a few events/situations from the OG games' story line that you wouldn't pick up on without playing them and that will bring back some memories. But it's done in a way that doesn't leave you confused and wondering what the conversations
were about if you didn't play the first series.

This is just me, but I'd say you should definitely do the DLC for all of the games (including the DLC "fixed" ending). Certain DLC characters like Zaeed Masani and Kasumi are just worth it.

i think mass effect andromeda is great . there are lots of things to to do even more so than mass effect 3 2 and 1 . i spent 3 to 4 hours on the plant eos that just 1 planet the online part is ok and yes you can take the game off line. i have the disc
    version of the game.

I am enjoying the game so far. I only have a few gripes about it, the "crafting" system is quite confusing and I really miss the planetary mining, not a fan of how the mining is done in this new one. Otherwise it's keeping me entertained thus far.

  7. I agree on the crafting aspect. Over complicated or not intuitive at the least. Maybe I'm just seeing it that way because of how "busy" the screen is.

At least with the mining, you can open certain cryo blocks that will unlock regular shipments of different materials after awhile. I'm hoping that I won't have to bother with actually plodding through mining zones and scrounging for materials after I get
enough cryo blocks unlocked, because it is a pain. As it is now, I just turn on the mining UI when I'm in a zone and leave it on while I travel to wherever it is I was headed in the first place. But roaming around in the Nomad while watching for the resource
sliders to start moving... no thanks. That gets old pretty quick.

Not to mention... we can use a scanner to find "anomalies" all over an entire system and launch a probe to find crashed ships, satellites and yes, even mineral deposits on comets, but we suddenly don't have the same planet scanning tech that uses the same
probe launching process that Mass Effect 2 had for finding minerals? lol

Still not enough to turn me off the game though.

Great games, having a lot of fun with it. If you played the previous Assassin Creed games defiantly pick this one up.

20 minutes? Seriously? Don't play it. Seriously, just stop. God forbid if someone like you plays the MP portion. Just go play something that can meet your little attention span.

Too much Ezio? Okay, how about doing .05 seconds of research before getting the game, like, I don't know, look at the pretty pictures on THE BOX? If you were even marginally intelligent you would have known before you played the game that it was based around
    Ezio again.

Worst troll post I've seen in awhile, good job.

The driving is iffy. Could use improvements. Like sport cars vs vans they both spin out and dont grip to roads.

Definitely worth the money, I'll most likely buy it if it comes out on next gen.
