How is there Malware on my Xbox One?

For everyone saying that it is impossible, I thought so too but, my ISP has Snapshot pics. I will post it and it shows that my Xbox and PC was hacked.
Most certainly this is a false positive.

Also interesting would be, how is your ISP detecting which device is an Xbox and which is a PC, and how are they detecting the infection?

Both the SIMDA and CryptoWall viruses are launched via EXE files.

The Xbox One can't run Exe files. Executables on the Xbox One are XBE files, and as I said previously, unless these files are digitally signed, the console is unable to run them.

Please inform your ISP, that their detection is faulty.

These are almost certainly false positives, possibly an infected PC having something to do with thr Xbox app. An Xbox is not a PC despite sharing many components with one, and cannot be infected by malware. Given its high level of difficulty to even find
an exploit, and the low number of people browsing the web with the platform, itsmpretty much a waste id time even to explore it when there’s far fatter and easier targets to hunt.

Encourage your ISP to submit it to Microsoft directly through ehatever agents they work wirh just to be sure, but we’re talking 99.9% its not happening

The current operating system on the console does not allow external changes from malware or rootkits. Misleading pop-ups may appear using Edge for web browsing, but the console cannot be infected.

Then let me give you some answers.

The Xbox One is a so called
    "Walled Garden", or "Closed Platform"
. This means, the console is only able to run code, that was digitally signed and certified by Microsoft with a secret digital key.

This means: Anything running on the Xbox One has been checked and approved by Microsoft, and is ONLY available through the Xbox app- and game-store.

It's not possible for Ransom- or Malware to run on the Xbox One, as Microsoft would first inspect the program, and only if it was harmless, sign it with the digital key and put it on the store.

If you are surfing on the web with the Xbox One web browser, there are sometimes misleading scare ads.

Those ads appear to be actual warning messages about malware, but in reality, it's only to scare gullible users that their computer or console is infected, and in order to clear that infection, they would have to buy a tool that supposedly clears that infection.

Such ads usually appear on websites that offer "free" stuff, like the ability to watch video streams for free, or get free tools. In order to be able to offer free stuff, some dubious websites make shady deals with such scare-advertisers, that basically
sell snake oil to people who got scared from an ad that makes them believe their device was infected, in the hopes that they are gullible enough to buy the "remedy" for that infection. Usually the ads make you believe that "only their" malware scanner can
detect and remove that infection, and no other anti virus scanner can (because there is no actual infection the real anti virus scanner could find). And if you fall for it, you are actually installing a program that does nothing (since your computer wasn't
infected in the first place), and continues to scare you with other error messages, requiring you to buy other tools. Or simply show you more ads.

But on the Xbox One, there can't be an infection with Ransomware or Malware.

In addition to the apps and games needing to be signed with a secret key, the Xbox One runs games and apps only in a virtual environment. No game or app can access data from another app or game. The running app is confined to the virtual machine currently
running, and maybe a few shared areas like media folders to access music, pictures and videos. And even then, the app usually only has reading privileges. So even a Ransomware app wouldn't be able to encrypt your data to ask for a ransom to be paid or malware
couldn't destroy anything, as it can't manipulate any files.

It's not possible for any app or game to access critical system resources.

So the reason you didn't get an answer to your question on how to get rid of Ransomware and Malware can't be really answered, as it's not possible to get Ransomware or Malware on the Xbox One.

So let me ask you the other way:

What makes you think your console is infected with Ransomware or Malware? If you could explain to us, why you think your console is infected, we can help you better answer your question.
