  1. How is my child able to delete his account from Microsoft Family thru Xbox One?

How is my son able to remove himself from Microsoft Family thru his Xbox One console?

I have verified (1) He is setup as a child, not an administrator; (2)

His birth year is 2002 so he is not 18 yrs old yet; (3) My account is

not signed in on Xbox One and even if it was I have a passkey code for

    extra protection.

I searched Internet and it seems several users are experiencing same issue but responses from Microsoft do not resolve issue.

Please do not respond w/ a link to Family Safety: Frequently Asked Questions. There is nothing in FAQ that answers this issue.

    :)

My son's child's microsoft-account doesn't show up in my Xbox family

I have a Microsoft account set up with a child added to the Microsoft family. My child has a Microsoft account (i.e. the Microsoft family), and had created an xbox profile on his kindle.

When I go into my family's xbox settings, I don't see my child's xbox profile. I was never asked to verify his account with a parent account. I am unable to access his security settings. Of course, when I log into his child account, I am also unable to
access his xbox security settings because his account is a child account.

I need to be able to access his xbox security settings so that I can change some games and stuff. How??

We don't have an xbox console -- hence the xbox on windows question.

  3. Can't add a child to my xbox family

I am the parent. My account exists on both microsoft and xbox. I have a child account, which exists on both microsoft and xbox. The child account is a member of my microsoft family. The child is NOT a member of my xbox family. I cannot figure out how
to add the child account to my xbox family. I don not have an xbox console.

How is my child able to delete his account from Microsoft Family thru Xbox One?

    Hello

The only way to do that is by signing in as the adult and removing the child account. He might have access to his adult account.

He can add your account. Remove his account THEN delete your account off the xbox. That is the ONLY way I know of it.

Parental consent removal from Microsoft family account

This page here should have details on how to remove a child from your Microsoft Account family. That covers doing
it via the browser or on an Xbox One console. With that, once the child is removed from a family, they should be able to be added to another family account.

Let us know if you're getting any errors or problems during that process.

Two gamertags (two kids) on one Microsoft Account?

    Hi April,

Thanks for reaching out to us in forums with this issue. When it comes to accounts for Xbox/Microsoft, there is no way to merge two accounts into a single account. If you would like to be able to monitor both accounts, you can use Family settings to designate
them as part of your Family by listing them as child accounts with your own account as the parent one. Here are some handy support articles that can guide you and provide you with information on how to set up a Microsoft family account:

I hope that this information helps you out!

If i leave a family group at 13 after changing my age will my account be deleted?

Hello, Alessandro. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas, and I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

Your account will not be deleted, but usually a child cannot leave the family group they are on unless the adult that gave consent to him remove him from the family.

Also, usually a child account should not be able to change his birthdate unless he follows a proper verification procedure or has access to the adult account. However, the child should not be able to remove himself from the family even if he is able to change his birthdate.

If you have any question, please let me know.

    Question to safety for kids

    Hi there,

it's advised that a child will have it's own account with the details and age that matches, since that will result in a parent account being needed which can control what the child account can and can not do.

By doing that you will also be able to create a family, with that family you'll be able to control several things. See this link for information regarding a family:

    https://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/microsoft-account-family-benefits

    other information regarding family etc:
    https://support.xbox.com/browse/xbox-one/security/Family

If you do want to go for it, then the only downside is his game progress and unlocked achievements etc, these can not be transferred to a different account. (There are a couple exceptions like Fortnite)

You can set your account to be limited to Child/Teen content but you can't block that from being changed, you can set up a passkey to block it from being changed, but that will not be as secure as using their own account
