I had a problem similar to this a few years ago and had to send it in. The process is quick as it can be and you do not need to pay any fees if this comes into the problems of the maintenance warranty. It only took about eight days to hear back about it
and getting it fixed. Please give it a try instead of going out of your way to pay someone else to do it for a fee.
